Jamie is Professor of Psychology at Ulster University and Deputy Director of the Administrative Data Research Centre Northern Ireland (ADRC NI). His work within ADRC NI focuses on using linked administrative and population data to advance understanding of mental health and deliver research for public benefit.
He has extensive expertise in analysing complex administrative and epidemiological datasets, alongside supporting researcher training in this area. His work has attracted significant funding from organisations including ESRC, Horizon 2020, and the Public Health Agency.
Through ADRC NI, Jamie works closely with government, health services, and a wide range of third sector organisations, including charities supporting mental health, trauma, and vulnerable populations. These partnerships help ensure research is grounded in real-world need and contributes to improved policy, services, and outcomes across Northern Ireland and beyond.
